As a Cloud Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for:
Managing Teradata’s as-a-Service offering on the public cloud (AWS)
Linux System Administration, Cloud Services Support, Cloud Network Support, System Instantiation, and optimizing the environments
Incident/Change/Problem Management
Operational Support following Security Best Practices
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support 24x7 Vantage as-a-Service environments for FedRAMP customers
Triage, troubleshoot, and escalate incidents/problem cases as per Teradata Incident Management Policies
Follow Cloud operations best practices regarding Incident/Problem/Change management and data handling
Implement development/production environment for data warehousing cloud environments
Backup, Archive, and Recovery process in addition to the monitoring/execution of cloud-based data warehouses
Basic Qualifications
US Citizen
CS Degree or another related field
Minimum 3 years of technology-focused work experience
Minimum 1 year of hands-on Cloud experience
Must be willing to provide rotation-based 24x7 on-call support
3-5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator or Support Engineer role
Experience in at least one of the supported public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); AWS preferred
Work experience in Linux Administration and Shell Scripting
Work experience with RDBMS like Oracle/DB2/Netezza/Teradata/SQL Server, MySQL
Understanding and exposure to ITIL skills
Desirable Skills & Certifications
Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Cloud delivery models
Prior Experience implementing and supporting new/existing customers on an as-a-Service infrastructure
Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security, etc.)
Should have good knowledge of cloud services for Compute, Storage, Network, and OS for at least one of the following cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP
Experience with AWS compute, storage, privatelink, AWS TGW, and knowledge of various cloud network connectivity methods, as well as Enterprise VPN with on-premises data centers
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and security management tools
Understanding of data archive/restore policies
Any Cloud Certifications (AWS certification preferred)
ITIL, CISSP, or other relevant certifications are desired
